NAD+: Mechanism & Published Research
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme in cellular redox reactions and a cofactor for non-redox enzymes, including sirtuins, CD38 and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases. It is a dinucleotide, not a peptide.
Research examines how NAD+ levels relate to metabolism, DNA repair, chromatin remodelling, cellular senescence and immune-cell function. A review in Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology summarizes NAD+ metabolism in ageing research.
Much of this work comes from model organisms, and changes in NAD+ levels in experimental systems do not establish an outcome for this research material.
Canada Peptide Supply currently lists 500mg and 1000mg vials for laboratory research and analytical reference only. NAD+ is not intended for human or veterinary use.
Research use only: this information is provided for scientific reference. Canada Peptide Supply does not provide medical advice. NAD+ is not approved by Health Canada for human consumption, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of disease.
Batch documentation
Before ordering, contact us with the product name and selected size to ask which batch documentation is available. For an existing order, include the batch number on the label. Match any certificate to the exact batch and review the methods and results reported; a purity result alone does not establish sterility or suitability for human use. See our COA policy.
