Always use bacteriostatic water (BAC). We include a free 30 ml vial with every research order over $150. The volume of BAC determines your concentration per unit on a 100-unit insulin syringe.
Let the lyophilized vial sit at room temperature for 10-15 min. Wipe both stoppers with an alcohol swab.
Use a sterile 1 ml or 3 ml syringe. Common volume: 2 ml of BAC into a 5 mg vial = 250 µg per 10 IU.
Angle the needle so BAC runs down the side of the vial — never directly onto the powder. Avoid foaming.
Swirl, do not shake. The powder dissolves in 30-90 seconds. Do not vortex protein peptides.
Mark the date. Store reconstituted peptide at 2-8 °C. Use within 28 days for most compounds.
