SNAP-8 (acetyl octapeptide-3) is a synthetic octapeptide developed as an elongation of the hexapeptide argireline. It is an analogue of the N-terminal end of SNAP-25, a protein in the SNARE complex.
The manufacturer technical sheet describes in-vitro work on SNARE complex formation, catecholamine release in chromaffin cells and glutamate release in neuronal cultures. Most available data come from cosmetic-ingredient testing rather than independent peer-reviewed studies.
