Kisspeptin-10: Mechanism & Published Research
Kisspeptin-10 is the 10-amino-acid form of the kisspeptin family, peptides derived from a 145-amino-acid precursor that share a C-terminal Arg-Phe-NH2 motif.
Kisspeptins bind the G-protein-coupled receptor KISS1R and promote GnRH release, making them central tools in hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis research. A 2022 review by Xie and colleagues summarizes findings across animal and clinical research.
Reported effects depend on exposure pattern: acute exposure has stimulated gonadotropin release, while chronic exposure has been reported to suppress HPG function in some models.
Canada Peptide Supply currently lists a 5mg lyophilized vial for laboratory research and analytical reference only. It is not approved by Health Canada for human or veterinary use.
Research use only: this information is provided for scientific reference. Canada Peptide Supply does not provide medical advice. Kisspeptin-10 is not approved by Health Canada for human consumption, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of disease.
